Dr. Jeremy E. Levenson is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in corneal and external diseases. He practices at the Pacific Eye, Ear & Skull Base Center, Pacific Neuroscience Institute, located at Providence Saint John’s Health Center in Santa Monica. In addition, he is clinical professor of ophthalmology, emeritus, at the Jules Stein Eye Institute, UCLA Medical School.
Dr. Levenson received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Zoology (with highest honors) from UCLA and graduated AOA Medical Honorary Society from the University of California Medical Center in San Francisco. This was followed by postgraduate medical training at the Veterans Administration Hospital (UCLA-affiliated hospitals), United States Public Health Service in Boston (Commissioned Officer, Surgical Staff), and the Jules Stein Eye Institute. Dr. Levenson was awarded a Fellowship in Corneal Surgery at the University of Florida in Gainesville after which he returned to Jules Stein Eye Institute as Chief Resident.
A recipient of the Senior Award, Dr. Levenson was recognized for his years teaching residents at the Jules Stein Eye Institute. In 2010 he was awarded the S. Rodman Irvine Prize which is a foremost award given once a year to clinical staff honoring their contributions to the teaching program at the Jules Stein Eye Institute.
