Program Coordinator, PNI Foundation
Nikki Mena assists in all administrative and operational aspects of the Pacific Neuroscience Institute Foundation. Specific attention is paid to raising awareness of PNI, as she focuses on the composition of blog posts, video appeals, newsletters, and materials for the bi-annual magazine. Moreover, fundraising remains a priority for her, with her efforts geared toward grant writing and coordination of outreach events. She works closely with medical experts, Saint John’s Health Center Foundation development team and PNI Foundation Directors to expand PNI’s brand both domestically and internationally.
After completing her undergraduate studies in business, law, and international politics, Nikki spent time abroad earning her Master’s in International Relations in Vienna, Austria. Throughout her studies, she combined her passion for global affairs and volunteerism, by contributing her time at The Bruno Kreisky Forum, a European thinktank for international dialog. She also worked for the Organization for Security Co-operation of Europe in the Extra-budgetary Unit. Finally, prior to joining the PNI Foundation team, she served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Republic of Georgia.
Nikki is a passionate person driven by the pursuit of knowledge and improving the lives of others. She speaks German, Spanish and Georgian, and loves to learn about the world, so she is excited to work toward growing the PNI brand internationally. She is proud to be working alongside an outstanding team dedicated to advancing the human condition through the research, education and clinical excellence of PNI.
