Lead Speech-Language Pathologist

Santa Monica, CA

Pacific Neuroscience Institute® in Santa Monica, CA is looking for a Lead Speech-Language Pathologist with an expertise in swallowing disorders. We are a group of over 30 providers including a laryngologist, head and neck oncology surgeons, audiologists, neurologists, and neurosurgeons. The candidate will work as an integral team member for a comprehensive ENT practice, a head/neck oncology program along with a brain health program. 

This is an exceptional opportunity for a candidate interested in developing an interdisciplinary head and neck outpatient swallow clinic. The candidate will also help guide and support ongoing department program building as well as be the lead for the speech-language pathology department. We will support continuing education as needed for motivated candidates. We offer a competitive salary and benefits.

Competitive candidates should have experience working with a diverse dysphagia patient population including but not limited to patients with head/neck cancer, total laryngectomies (including prosthesis care), and complex neurological disorders. Candidates should also be able to perform and interpret modified barium swallow studies (MBSS), fiberoptic endoscopic evaluation of swallowing (FEES), and provide appropriate, evidence-based treatment.

As Director, you’ll play a crucial role in providing state-of-the-art care, with a special emphasis on employing advanced, minimally invasive surgical techniques. Collaborating closely with the renowned Saint John’s Cancer Institute, our focus extends beyond patient care to impactful translational research and clinical trials.   • 2 days of clinic, 2 days of surgery and 1/2 day of dedicated administrative/academic time
  • Board Certified in Otolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgery
  • Fellowship trained Head & Neck Oncologic Surgeon
  • Interest in Microvascular reconstruction
  • Compensation is between $382,167.00 to $584,712.00 per year
  • The posted salary reflects the starting range of total compensation and may include productivity bonuses, incentives related to quality and performance, extra shift incentives, and other forms of cash compensation as applicable to the position. In addition, providers typically receive a CME allowance and other benefits offered by the medical group. Please note that this salary range is provided in accordance with State law and is subject to variation due to the factors noted above
