Celebrating 10 Years of Excellence, Care, and Innovation at Pacific Neuroscience Institute
by Zara Jethani
No one wants to hear the words brain tumor, Alzheimer’s disease, or another neurological diagnosis. But for those facing these challenges, you want to know that you are putting your brain, spine and nervous system health in the most capable hands— like the expert teams at Pacific Neuroscience Institute.

For the past 10 years, Pacific Neuroscience Institute has been advancing care, pioneering innovation, and transforming lives.
Since forming the PNI Medical Group in 2015 and partnering with Providence Saint John’s Health Center in Santa Monica in 2017, PNI has grown into a nationally recognized center for brain, mind and spine care. Our teams bring together world-class specialists in one place, collaborating across multiple disciplines to address the most complex neurological challenges.
We’ve built centers of excellence, bringing world-class expertise under one roof from brain tumors and pituitary tumors to movement disorders, to mental health, and so much more — PNI’s programs have provided care to thousands of patients. Along the way, we have advanced minimally invasive treatments, led clinical trials, and helped set new standards in neurological care.

Driving Innovation for a Better Future
The past decade has brought advances and breakthroughs in surgical techniques, including minimally invasive brain and spine procedures, as well as access to pioneering clinical trials for conditions such as malignant brain tumors, stroke, dementia and anxiety. PNI’s research teams are exploring therapies that address not only neurological disease but also the emotional and cognitive challenges that can accompany it.
“Our mission has always been to combine leading science with compassionate care. This milestone reflects how far we’ve come — and our commitment to the future of comprehensive brain health.”
– Dr. Daniel Kelly, PNI director and neurosurgeon
More Than Treatment: Extraordinary Care for You & Your Brain

Patients often tell us that what they found at PNI went beyond medicine — that our teams guided them through every step, listened, and made them feel seen.
Janna, an acoustic neuroma (brain tumor) patient, shared:
“I knew immediately that PNI was the place for us. The unparalleled level of care and compassion we received during our first consultation cemented our decision to pursue my treatment exclusively at PNI,”
Randy, who was left paralyzed from the neck down in a jet ski accident, credits his wraparound care for his full recovery. He said:
“The staff – exceptional, the doctors – exceptional. Without them I don’t know that I’d be here today,”
These stories are the heart of PNI’s mission: care that addresses the whole person, not just the condition.

Looking Ahead
The vision that began with a simple idea — to create a place dedicated entirely to neurological care under one roof — is now a thriving institute with an impact that reaches far beyond Southern California. As we move into our next decade, we will continue our research partnerships, advance technology, and shape the future of neuroscience through education, discovery, and innovation.
Thank You for 10 Years
This anniversary is a celebration of our patients, their families, our dedicated staff, and the community that has supported us. We look forward to the next chapter — delivering advanced, compassionate neurological care for years to come.
