PNI and Alzheimer’s Los Angeles Partner Up

PNI participated in the Alzheimer’s Los Angeles event, “Making Memories Festival: A Celebration of LA Food & Music.” The event took place on Saturday, November 14th, 2021, in the Los Angeles Historic State Park. It was sponsored by Pacific Neuroscience Institute Foundation (PNIF), UCLA Health, Anthem Blue Cross, Cedars-Sinai, Welbrook Memory Care, among others.
A locally focused, nationally and internationally recognized leader, Alzheimer’s Los Angeles has been serving the LA community for 40 years. The well-attended event was a celebration with food and music from local bands, and included information booths for providing high-impact support and education programs.

PNIF, the foundation at Pacific Neuroscience Institute (PNI), shares in this mission and proudly sponsored the event.
PNIF’s support helped raise over $200,000, which allows Alzheimer’s Los Angeles to continue providing vital programs, including care counseling, caregiver education, outreach and education to diverse communities, training health care professionals, and advocating for funding and policies that improve the lives of people living with the disease and of their families.
Meet the team
The event was attended by the Pacific Brain Health Center team, including Brittany Youssef, Senior Clinical Research Associate at the Treatment and Research in Psychedelic (TRIP) Program; Ryan Glatt, FAFS, BSc, Psychometrist and Brain Health Coach; Rhianna Rich, Clinical Research Associate; Jenna Mattinson, Clinical Research Assistant; and Fatima Iqbal, Clinical Research Assistant and Administrative Assistant. PNIF attendees included Melanie Lampa, Director of Research Administration and Operations; and Amelia Garrison, Communications Coordinator.
Innovative research and clinical trials
Festival-goers were greeted by team members of the Pacific Brain Health Center, where they learned about PNI’s innovative research and clinical trials for dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.
Clinical trials and research at the Pacific Brian Health Center are aimed at advancing the understanding and treatment of normal aging cognitive decline and more severe dementia. Through innovative clinical trials and research, the research team is developing ways to preserve and enhance brain health.
