Melanie Lampa is the Director of Research Administration and Operations at Pacific Neuroscience Institute Foundation, where she oversees research operations for the Brain Health Center. Melanie brings a wealth of leadership experience and expertise in cross-functional areas adjacent to strategic partnership and planning, change management and innovation, financial analyses and budget negotiation, and technical skills related to cell and molecular biology, biochemistry and immunology. Beginning in her prior experiences as an operations leader at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and the Beckman Research Institute at the City of Hope Medical Center, she has embraced a commitment to the patient as a core value, which has driven record-breaking success in workflow efficiency, output quality and employee well-being.
Melanie has the expertise and vision to continue the upward trajectory of the growth and reputation of the Pacific Neuroscience Institute Foundation. She will continue a values-based cultural leadership approach with a focus on operational execution of the research innovation roadmap while remaining true to the mission of providing excellence in patient care, health research and community service. Her purview includes building a research infrastructure and leading the clinical research services core team for all PNI-related research. She works closely with clinical staff to help effectively integrate the research program within the clinic. Additionally, she is responsible for strategic planning and evaluation of PNIF’s ongoing research operation, leveraging data and analytics, developing tracking tools, and guiding the internal study approval and funding processes.
Melanie received her Bachelor of Science degree in Neurobiology and Biopsychology from Simmons University in Boston, Massachusetts.
