Pacific Neuroscience Institute (PNI) is proud to sponsor the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (NMSS), a non-profit patient advocacy and support group for those living with MS. Aimed at providing patients with the support they need, NMSS is dedicated to finding a cure for MS and ending the disease forever.
At PNI, MS Specialist Barbara Giesser, MD, FAAN, FANA, cares for persons with Multiple Sclerosis by combining state-of-the-art diagnostics and treatments with evidence-based recommendations for lifestyle practices. This comprehensive strategy treats the whole person, with the goal of controlling disease activity while optimizing function and quality of life. The MS clinic at Pacific Neuroscience Institute is recognized as a “Partner in Care” of the National MS Society.
Dr. Giesser has been listed in the “Best Doctors of America” since 2015, received the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center “Exceptional Physician Award” in 2015, and was honored by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society by her election to their Volunteer Hall of Fame in 2018. She is the recipient of the prestigious 2022 Ted Burns Humanism in Neurology Award from the American Brain Foundation & American Academy of Neurology.

About Dr. Barbara Giesser
Barbara Giesser, MD, FAAN, FANA, is an internationally recognized clinician and award-winning educator who has specialized in the care of persons with Multiple Sclerosis since 1982. Dr. Giesser’s approach to the diagnosis & management of persons with MS combines state-of-the-art diagnostics and a personalized medication plan for each patient with an emphasis on integrating lifestyle and wellness strategies into the neurologic treatment plan.
