Uniting Forces with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society: A Recap of Recent Events
PNI attended two Walk MS events as a sponsor for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Together, we are stronger than MS.
Together, We Are Stronger
Pacific Neuroscience Institute (PNI) proudly sponsors the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (NMSS), a non-profit patient advocacy and support group for those living with MS. NMSS aims to provide patients with the support they need, and find a cure for MS.
At PNI, MS Specialist Barbara Giesser, MD, FAAN, FANA, cares for individuals with Multiple Sclerosis by combining state-of-the-art diagnostics, treatments, and evidence-based lifestyle interventions. Notably, this comprehensive approach treats the whole person, with the goal of controlling disease activity while optimizing quality of life. The National MS Society recognizes the MS clinic at Pacific Neuroscience Institute as a “Partner in Care”.
Furthermore, Dr. Giesser has ranked among the “Best Doctors of America” since 2015, received the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center “Exceptional Physician Award” in 2015, and was elected to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society’s Volunteer Hall of Fame in 2018. Additionally, she received the prestigious 2022 Ted Burns Humanism in Neurology Award from the American Brain Foundation & American Academy of Neurology. Most recently, the NMSS selected Dr. Giesser as the recipient of the 2023 Healthcare Champion award.

Barbara Giesser, MD, FAAN, FANA, is an internationally recognized clinician and award-winning educator who has specialized in the care of persons with Multiple Sclerosis since 1982.
