Dr. Naveed Wagle Named Director of Neuro-Oncology
SANTA MONICA, CA, March 30, 2026 – Pacific Neuroscience Institute® (PNI) is very
pleased to announce that Naveed Wagle, MD, has been appointed Director of Neuro-
Oncology at Pacific Neuroscience Institute. In this role within the Pacific Brain Tumor
Center, Dr. Wagle will further strengthen PNI’s commitment to advancing care and
innovation for patients with cancers affecting the brain.
Dr. Wagle joined PNI in 2019 and is a highly accomplished neuro-oncologist with
specialized training and research expertise in the treatment of cancers affecting the
central and peripheral nervous systems. He cares for patients with primary and
metastatic brain tumors, as well as neurologic complications of cancer, and is actively
involved in the development and implementation of clinical trials aimed at improving
outcomes.
Prior to joining PNI, Dr. Wagle served as Director of Clinical Neuro-Oncology at the
University of Southern California, where he helped build and expand a leading clinical
program. He completed both his neurology residency and fellowship in neuro-oncology
at the University of California, Los Angeles, and is board certified by the American
Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
As Director of Neuro-Oncology, Dr. Wagle will lead efforts to further advance PNI’s
multidisciplinary brain tumor program, with a focus on translating leading-edge research
into personalized treatment options. His leadership will also support the expansion of
clinical trials and innovative therapies, bringing new hope to patients and families facing
complex neurologic cancers. Dr. Wagle has led over 50 clinical trials focused on brain
cancer and continues to develop new approaches to diagnosis and treatment.
Dr. Wagle is an active member of leading professional organizations, including the
Society for Neuro-Oncology, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, and the
American Academy of Neurology, reflecting his ongoing commitment to advancing the
field through collaboration, research, and clinical excellence.
