Dr. Chester Griffiths Achieves Many Milestones in 2026
SANTA MONICA, CA, July 22, 2026 – Pacific Neuroscience Institute is proud to report that Chester F. Griffiths, MD, FACS, has been re-certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery for another 10 years.
Maintaining ENT Excellence
“This is my 3rd re-certification,” said Dr. Griffiths, a Pacific Neuroscience Institute founder, and otolaryngology – ENT head & neck surgeon. “I doubt in 10 years if I will repeat it, although my father, Dr. Cadvan Griffiths, maintained his board re-certification at 90 years of age… the oldest board-certified plastic surgeon.”
Dr. Griffiths explained that to remain certified, each decade one must produce operative experience over the prior 2 years with proof of operative reports for peer review to validate current expertise along with yearly study and testing.

A Passion for Ice Hockey
LA Kings team physician and ENT-maxillofacial plastic surgeon for the last 23 Years, Dr. Griffiths is a long-time ice hockey enthusiast. In March, he played in a 5-day international ice hockey tournament, 2026 City of Angels Old Timer’s Classic held in Bangkok. His team, the Ramas, played alongside many recreational and amateur traveling teams at the Thailand International Ice Hockey Arena, one of the premiere ice-skating facilities in the world.
