He offers complex specialty procedures including oculoplastic surgery, adult strabismus surgery and orbital and anterior skull base surgery. In addition to clinical practice, Dr. Krauss is Professor of Ophthalmology and Neurosurgery at Saint John’s Cancer Institute at Providence Saint John’s Health Center, and Director of Ophthalmology at the Pacific Neuroscience Institute (PNI).

He was a cofounder of the UCLA Skull Base Surgery and Orbitocranial Tumor Programs, and is presently active in skull base and orbital disease, and tumor care at PNI. Drs. Krauss and Griffiths, in 2001, were the first in the world to devise and carry out Transnasal Image-Guided Endoscopic Orbital Tumor Surgery, a safer, less invasive and more efficacious approach to the management of orbital apex tumors.  Presently, he and Dr. Barkhoudarian work together in the improvement and refinement of transorbital approaches to brain tumors.

Dr. Krauss has lectured locally, nationally, and worldwide, and has directed International Congresses of Ophthalmology in Santiago, Chile. He is a recognized expert in his field, has published numerous papers and book chapters, and has served as a reviewer for numerous peer-reviewed journals.
