About Pacific Neuroscience
Institute Foundation

The PNI Foundation, a 501 (c)(3) organization, was created by the PNI Founders in order to promote advances in neuroscience clinical care and research through novel treatment approaches that optimize brain health and quality of life; to train the next generation of neuroscientists and clinicians, and to educate patients and the community at large on vital neuroscience issues.

About the Saint John’s Health Center Foundation

The Saint John’s Health Center (SJHC) Foundation is a separate tax-exempt 501(c)(3) corporation whose purpose is to advance the mission and goals of Providence Saint John’s Health Center, including affiliated or connected programs with Providence Saint John’s Health Center, like PNI, through leadership and philanthropic support.

PNI Foundation is grateful for the support from and close collaboration with the SJHC Foundation and its commitment toward improving the lives of PNI’s current and future patients.

Partners in Philanthropy

About the SJHC Foundation & PNI Foundation Partnership

The SJHC Foundation has provided critical seed funding and ongoing support for the creation and growth of PNI clinical and research programs and its 9 Centers of Excellence. This partnership began in 2014 with the purchase by SJHCF of the landmark building at 2125 Arizona, which has become the PNI outpatient clinic at Saint John’s Health Center. The SJHC Foundation also provided generous 3-year start-up funding in 2017, to help PNI Foundation address the growing need for innovative neuroscience solutions in our community and beyond. In 2018, the SJHC Foundation also provided important seed funding for the development of our Pacific Brain Health Center which has grown dramatically in clinical care provided and in research and clinical trials. This essential and fruitful ongoing partnership is one of the keys to the success of PNI and its support of the neurosciences.

In addition to the foundational initial support of PNI, the SJHC Foundation provides the development staffing support for the PNI Foundation and helps raise money through individuals, foundations and other charitable sources for multiple areas of need at PNI including:

The PNI and SJHC Foundations also collaborate closely with the Saint John’s Cancer Institute to advance the care of patients with primary and metastatic brain tumors, other neurological diseases, and to support training and education in neurosurgery, neuro-oncology and related disciplines.

Working together, the PNI Foundation and SJHC Foundation aim to profoundly change the standard of care and enhance the quality of life for patients with these daunting neuroscience conditions.
