R. Justin Garling, MD | 2021-22

Originally from Desoto, TX, Richard Garling, MD, attended college at Duke University where he double majored in Chemistry and History. He graduated with Distinction in Chemistry in 2009 after defending his senior thesis. Dr. Garling attended the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio (UTHSCSA) School of Medicine where he was awarded MD with Distinction in Research for his work on traumatic brain injury. Dr. Garling then completed his neurosurgical residency at Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center. His clinical and research interests include traumatic brain injury, intracerebral hemorrhage, tumor, and minimally invasive approaches to the skull base.
