Neurosurgical Fellow
Shaheryar Ansari, MD, completed his undergraduate studies in biology and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Kentucky. He went on to graduate at the top of his medical school class at Indiana University, where he stayed for his neurosurgical residency. His research interests have been broad, encompassing anatomy, medical history, tumors and skull base surgery, and critical care, including a randomized, controlled trial to treat vasospasm. He is also passionate about education, having served on numerous committees throughout his training and serving as a mentor to students and junior residents. His desire to innovate and advance surgical craft has led him to pursue a year-long fellowship at the Pacific Neuroscience Institute with Dr. Daniel F. Kelly and Dr. Garni Barkhoudarian.
