Saturday, November 1
Morning: Nursing Symposium (7:30-11:30 AM)
Afternoon: Patient Session (12:30-4:00 PM)
Nurses and patients will participate in focused, curated sessions featuring multidisciplinary speakers across specialties including neurosurgery, neurology, endocrinology, ENT, psychology, and rehabilitation. Topics range from autoimmune disease and transsphenoidal surgery to brain health.
Sunday, November 2
Full-Day: Physicians & Nurses (Nurses subject to seat availability) (8:00 AM-5:00 PM)
This immersive clinical day features advanced lectures and interactive panel discussions on nonfunctioning adenomas, the GH/IGF-1 and HPA axes, hypophysitis, craniopharyngiomas, and more. The emphasis is on multidisciplinary, outcomes-driven care, integrating perspectives from endocrinology, neurosurgery, radiation oncology, pathology, and mental health.

We anticipate approximately 70 participants in each session, including:

- Medical fellows, residents, and nurses

This half-day course for nurses with an optional full second day for healthcare professionals focuses on in-depth information providing an extensive immersion in advanced topics led by highly experienced and recognized experts in their fields.
Course Description
The Nursing Symposium will serve as a major educational and networking event for neuroscience nurses and those who care for neuroscience patients. This will provide opportunities to learn about
the latest advancements in neuroscience. Speakers will consist of multidisciplinary providers: neurosurgeons, neurologist, endocrinologist, spine surgeon, psychologist, ENT, and therapist involved with brain health. Experts will present topics ranging from neuroanatomy, autoimmune disease, stroke, transsphenoidal sinus surgery, migraine headaches, to brain health.
Course Emphasis
The course will focus on the management of neuroscience patients, including how to manage lifelong evolving symptoms of autoimmune disease. We will explore strategies to help patients maintain an
appropriate frame of mind and stay in a “healthy brain zone”. Participants will engage in a multidisciplinary review of neuroscience topics aimed at providing excellent outcomes-driven approaches with close physician collaboration.

Patient Seminar

This patient-focused course is tailored to helping individuals navigate their pituitary health journey.
- Participants will delve into pituitary pathology, learning about common conditions such as adenomas, acromegaly, Cushing’s disease, and hormone deficiencies, while exploring various treatment options.
- The course also provides guidance on navigating the healthcare system, with practical advice on effective communication with healthcare providers, handling insurance and referrals, and self-advocacy.
- The psychological aspects of living with pituitary disorders are covered, offering strategies to cope with stress, anxiety, and depression.
- An interactive Q&A session concludes the program, facilitating engagement with experts and peers, sharing experiences, and accessing valuable resources.
- By the course’s end, patients will be equipped with the knowledge and confidence needed to manage their pituitary health journey effectively.

The all-day course geared towards physicians and healthcare professionals focuses on in-depth information, providing an extensive immersion in advanced topics led by highly experienced and recognized experts in their fields.
Course Description
This comprehensive course emphasizes a multidisciplinary approach to diagnosing and managing pituitary disorders, integrating insights from various specialties to enhance patient care. Led by highly experienced and recognized experts in the field, participants will delve into essential topics such as nonfunctioning adenomas, the GH/IGF-1 axis, and the HPA axis, as well as complex conditions like hypophysitis, Rathke’s cleft cyst, and craniopharyngioma. The curriculum prioritizes collaboration, featuring a panel discussion among distinguished clinicians from diverse specialties to foster holistic management strategies. Sessions covering endocrinology, neurosurgery, stereotactic radiation, pathology, and psychological considerations will offer comprehensive insights into the multifaceted care of patients with pituitary disorders.
Course Emphasis
The course will focus on the diagnosis and management of pituitary related disorders, including hormone hypersecretion and hormonal deficiencies.
