Steven B. Augustine, MSN, NP, CNRN, CCRN, is a geriatric medicine specialist at the Pacific Stroke & Aneurysm Center and Providence Saint John’s Health Center. He and has been practicing for 6 years and as a geriatric nurse practitioner, he specializes in geriatric medicine including stroke, neurovascular and neurocritical care.
Originally a project manager in the tech industry, Steven transitioned to nursing out of a desire to effect more meaningful and positive change in the world. He received his BSN and MSN from the University of Pennsylvania and is board certified in critical care nursing, neuroscience nursing, and adult and gerontological primary care.
When at the hospital, patient care comes first, and Steven takes great pleasure in providing the compassionate and comprehensive care that Saint John’s is known for. When away from the hospital, Steven enjoys spending his time outdoors, hiking the many trails and canyons that surround Santa Monica. He inherited his love of of nature from his grandfather, who had the pleasure of serving as a Park Service Ranger for Yosemite, Sequoia, and Olympic National Parks.
