Lead Clinical Oncology Social Worker, John Wayne Cancer Center Clinics at Providence Saint John’s Health Center
Lind Roberts is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and has worked in the field since 1992. She is part of the multidisciplinary cancer treatment team providing psychosocial services in a patient-centered care environment at Providence Saint John’s Health Center. Lind works with patients and families in the John Wayne Cancer Center Clinics and the Radiation Oncology Department. She provides assistance to patients and their families to increase their ability to cope and regain a sense of control by offering counseling, assessment and referrals to community based programs. She also helps patients, their families and their caregivers needed resources for practical concerns.
Before joining Providence Saint John’s, Lind worked as a family therapist and group therapist at The Center for Eating Disorders at Sheppard Pratt Behavioral Health Center in Baltimore, Maryland. She also directed the family therapy program at Arapahoe House, an addiction treatment center for women and children in Denver, Colorado. Lind has treated adults and children in her independent psychotherapy practice in Winter Park, Florida and has also worked as a pastoral counselor serving on the Commission on Ministry for the Episcopal Dioceses of Central Florida. Lind has completed From Cancer To Health (C2H) training from the From Cancer To Health Institute at Ohio State University and she is a member of the Association of Oncology Social Workers and the American Psychosocial Oncology Society.
