Robert Darflinger, MD, is a fellowship trained neuro-interventional surgeon serving the Providence Health System in Southern California. Dr. Darflinger’s surgical techniques specialize in the endovascular treatment of adult and pediatric neurovascular disease including cerebral aneurysms, cerebral and spinal arteriovenous malformations and arteriovenous fistulas, stroke, carotid stenosis, pulsatile tinnitus, intracranial hypertension, and tumor embolization.
Dr. Darflinger received his medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He completed his internship in Internal Medicine at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center/UCLA, his radiology residency at Kaiser Permanente LAMC, and both of his specialty fellowships in Neuroradiology and Neurointerventional Radiology at the University of California, San Francisco. He is currently a member of the Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center, Providence Saint John’s Health Center, Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center Torrance, and Providence Holy Cross Medical Center medical staffs, providing care in adult and pediatric neuro-interventional surgery.
Dr. Darflinger has published many peer-reviewed papers and book chapters in the field of neurointerventional surgery and has presented his work at national conferences.
