Clinical Trials and Research

Brain Health Clinical Trials & Research Studies

Clinical trials and research are urgent and necessary in the understanding, prevention and treatment of Alzheimer’s disease and other debilitating neurodegenerative brain conditions.

In order to advance the understanding and treatment of normal aging cognitive decline along with more severe dementias, and develop ways to preserve and enhance brain health, much work is needed through innovative clinical trials and research. Researchers and clinicians at the Pacific Brain Health Center are at the forefront of leading-edge research with a number of initiatives that explore debilitating cognitive and mood disorders through well-designed and implemented research studies and clinical trials.

Translating scientific and technological advances into patient care

Our expert research scientists in the fields of geriatric psychiatry, neurology and cognitive psychology collaborate with world-class research institutions such as Saint John’s Cancer Institute, UCLA, USC, UCSD to turn extraordinary scientific and technological research discoveries into innovative treatments for our patients. We are actively engaged in multiple research protocols that aid in optimizing the diagnoses and treatment of Alzheimer’s diseaseParkinson’s disease, mood disorders and aging cognitive decline.

Our clinical trials and research efforts are focused in three areas:

  • Optimized diagnostics
  • Preventative screening and therapies
  • Neuroplasticity and quality of life enhancing treatments

Clinical trials for Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias

By participating in a clinical trial you will have access to the latest diagnostics and treatment options before they are made widely available. At your next visit, ask one of our specialists if participating in a research study or clinical trial is right for you. If you are interested in any of our current studies on Alzheimer’s disease or if you are interested in participating in a research study but don’t currently see one that suits you, you can now join our research registry to be placed on a list for future studies.
