Jack (John) Hodes

Clinical Research Coordinator

Jack is a Clinical Research Coordinator at the Pacific Brain Health Center, Pacific Neuroscience Institute. His primary focus is coordinating the day-to-day operations of the Alzheimer’s PREVENTION Trial, a one-year randomized controlled study for individuals with mild cognitive impairment due to Alzheimer’s disease. He uses biological and brain imaging biomarkers to create comprehensive precision interventions for brain health and assists with patient navigation.

A graduate of Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Jack studied cognitive and behavioral neuroscience and biomedical sciences. He has contributed to laboratory research into the glutamatergic modifications underlying cocaine addiction and schizophrenia. He has also conducted independent research focused on the effects of chronic stress and psychological trauma on the health and wellbeing of undocumented immigrants.

Prior to joining Pacific Brain Health Center, Jack worked with Dr. Richard Isaacson at the Alzheimer’s Prevention Clinic at Cornell/New York Presbyterian, where he researched multi-modal precision-medicine approaches to Alzheimer’s disease risk reduction and created coursework for an Alzheimer’s education platform.

Jack’s experiences have motivated him to pursue a career in medicine and clinical research. His interests include the use of individualized diet, lifestyle, and mind-body interventions to prevent the onset and/or progression of various psychiatric and neurological disorders.
